KCK Monthly Mass & Prayer Vigil at Planned Parenthood
Fr. Keith Chadwick is the new pastor at Christ the King in KCK. He is asking for our help to prayerfully end the violence being done to unborn children and women at the KCK Planned Parenthood. Please promote this Monthly Third Saturday prayer opportunity to your parish communities and let’s show up to storm the heavens with prayer!
Moving forward we have scheduled two area parishes per month to offer an “Invitation to Pray” to your communities. Thank you for working with us to support this important, life-saving witness! See the schedule below. Use the attached sign up to share with your communities. Our Lady of Guadalupe, please intercede for us!

Pro-Life Ministry Updates
Walking with Moms in Need Ministry Update
Please help us share the incredible fruit coming from the Walking With Moms in Need initiative that helps make the Church and our parishes places of compassion and support for women and families experiencing challenging pregnancies.
Below is a graphic to share promoting a new video that highlights the life-changing experiences taking place! Thank you to the Church of the Ascension, Holy Trinity Lenexa, and Queen of the Holy Rosary O.P. Walking With Moms programs featured in this video.
Walking With Moms was launched five years ago in the Archdiocese and we invite more parishes to get involved. If your parish would like to learn more about starting a WWMIN program or Embrace Grace support group, please contact Debra Niesen at dniesen@archkck.org.
The Gabriel Project
At the Gabriel Project, one of our Angels recently delivered a Welcome Diaper bag filled with diapers, wipes, sleepers and self-care items for a mom whose baby boy will be born right before Thanksgiving. Another Angel delivered sleepers and clothing for a mom whose baby girl came early. We have two Angels working with moms at St. Mary's Home for Mothers, two who are working with a bi-Lingual Angel and one who just contacted us and will be getting her Angel soon! We are thankful for all the healthy babies being born and for the moms who have chosen life amidst difficult circumstances. Please pray for our moms and their babies, both born and unborn.
On October 25th, Gabriel Project KC had a Day of Formation and Retreat for our Volunteer Angels. We are grateful to our speakers, Fr. Timothy Skoch of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and Clark Massey of "A Simple House" ministry for sharing their insights, tips and reflections on working with those in need in our communities. We are also very grateful for all the Community organizations who created table displays and shared what they have to offer to those needing services. A big thank you to: Borrowing Baby Basics, Catholic Charities in KS and MO, Community Action Agency of Greater Kansas City, Embrace Grace from Ascension and Holy Trinity, Keeler Women's Center, Lutheran Family and Children's Services, Nativity House & St. Mary's Home for Mothers and Resource Health. All of these groups assist us, as we assist our mothers, in getting the services they need. And hats off to all our Angels, without which we would not have this ministry. They are the ones who deliver the help needed to the moms that reach out to us, bringing them hope during a difficult time. They truly are Angels!
Project Rachel / Project Joseph
This week Project Rachel will begin a new program - a Drop-In group for any woman affected by abortion. It will be on the first Thursdays of every month through May. It is a place to listen and learn, ask questions and find support. Please contact Ann Marie Alvey at projectrachelkc@archkck.org or call/text at 913-621-2199 for further details.
Project Rachel will be hosting its Fall Retreat on Saturday, November 8th from 8:30am - 4:00pm. We are praying for a day of hope and healing for those who have signed up. Please keep this ministry and its participants in your prayers, as some people are dealing with this issue for the first time in decades and seeking help is very difficult.
We would like to add more Men's Retreats to our schedule. Please make sure your church foyer has information cards for Project Joseph. We have prayer cards for the Confessionals as well. If your church needs those, please contact me and I will get them to you: projectrachelkc@archkck.org or 913-621-2199.
Embrace Grace Support Group
From Church of the Ascension... We are about wrap up our third "semester". Our baby shower will be November 23rd. We have 3 beautiful moms and, as of yesterday, 2 adorable babies! Baby number three is due in December, unless he makes a surprise early arrival. Our new semester will start in late February 2026.
From Holy Trinity... We are so excited to start our new group this evening and are expecting to have 6 Blooms in attendance!
Two more parishes have hosted “Love Box Packing Parties which are a great tool to educate parishes about the Embrace Grace ministry. Thank you to Cure of Ars and St. Pius X! One more is coming up this month - Sacred Heart in Shawnee!
Host a "Love Box Packing" Party!
Local Pregnancy Resources centers are asking for more parishes to offer the Embrace Grace support group for single pregnant women. Thank you to St. John's - Lawrence, the Church of the Ascension - OP, and Holy Trinity - Lenexa for being EG parishes. The Holy Spirit is doing amazing things through this program and we'd like you to be a part of it!
Here's why Love Box Packing Parties are beneficial for program introduction:
- Hands-on Engagement: These parties involve individuals in a tangible way by having them assemble Love Boxes filled with items meant to empower and encourage single, pregnant women.
- Program Awareness: The process of packing and preparing these boxes provides a direct connection to the Embrace Grace program and its purpose – helping women facing unexpected pregnancies find support and choose life.
- Community Building: Love Box packing parties are an excellent way to bring together friends, church groups, or coworkers for a joyful evening of service, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose.
- Outreach and Recruitment: Each Love Box contains an invitation to a local Embrace Grace group, serving as a direct outreach tool for women who may benefit from the program's support.
- Inspiring Life Decisions: The items in the Love Box, such as handwritten letters, journals, and baby essentials, are designed to inspire hope and encourage women to choose life.
Does your parish want to host a Share the Love Party? Click HERE for more information. Reach out to us if you have any questions!

Coalition Life
Coalition Life is hosting a 9 day prayer vigil- the Coalition Life Circle will be from 8:00am- 12:00pm, November 13-21 in front of the Overland Park Planned Parenthood, 4401 W 109th St.
This is an opportunity to pray for life, witness, and evangelize by your presence and by calling down the Holy Spirit through nine intense days of prayer. If your church/parish would like to sponsor one day of the Circle and commit to covering each of the 4 shifts that day, that would be great. Either way, any individual may sign up for any shift.
Feel free to pass this email along to anyone who you think might be interested in participating, whether as an individual or group.

Pregnancy Resource Centers
Selah Home
(maternity home in Lawrence)
We are excited to share an important opportunity here at Insight Women’s Center. We have an opening for a Fatherhood Coordinator, a part time position, to help lead and support our growing Fatherhood Initiative.
God is doing incredible work among the men who walk through our doors. We currently have 10 dedicated volunteer fatherhood coaches who meet individually with dads and facilitate group classes. We are looking for someone with a heart for discipleship, strong leadership skills, and a passion to see fathers learn how to love and lead their families well.
If you have a part time pastor, ministry leader, or someone on your team who might be a great fit for this role, please pass along the attached job description and encourage them to reach out. I would love to visit and answer any questions they might have.
Thank you for your ongoing partnership in this Kingdom work. Together we can strengthen families, encourage fathers, and help ensure every child has a strong foundation of love and support.
