"Consecrated life is a gift to the Church, it is born of the Church, it grows in the Church, and it is entirely directed to the Church."

The Office for Religious and Consecrated Life exists as a bridge between the Archbishop and members of institutes of consecrated life living or working in the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas. The Delegate for Religious and Consecrated Life provides a pastoral presence and supports institutes of consecrated life in fulfilling their particular mission and undertaking apostolic works for the welfare of God’s people.

Mission

The mission of the Office for Religious and Consecrated Life is to offer pastoral support to religious institutes, societies of apostolic life, and consecrated virgins as they work to achieve their goals and the goals of the Archdiocese of Kansas City of Kansas.

  • Provide timely communication to the Archbishop regarding institutes of consecrated life in the Archdiocese
  • Share the goals of the Archdiocese with persons living in consecrated life for the sake of holy collaboration
  • Support the apostolates, vocation efforts and membership of institutes of consecrated life in the Archdiocese in whatever ways possible.
