My advice to men considering the priesthood: God is always speaking, but He speaks more when we are listening! Devoting time each day to grow closer to Our Lord through prayer will give you clarity and direction. There is also no reason to fear, for the Lord will always bless our genuine attempts to follow His will. Jesus wants to speak to each of us personally to reveal His plan, and He never stops aiding us along the way. How blessed we are!

Why I want to be a priest: I want to be a priest to lay down my life for Jesus Christ and for His Church. I want to intimately know God and to love Him by serving His people. The Church has a great need for priests, and I have experienced a call from God to pursue such a vocation.

Those who influenced me: My parents have had the greatest influence for they taught me the meaning of charity, what it means to truly lay down one’s life for another. I also owe a lot to the great examples of the priests I have had in my life, particularly Fr. Richard Storey, Fr. Scott Wallisch, Fr. Gerard Alba, Fr. Tony Lickteig, and Fr. Vince Huber. Finally, countless friends from St. James Academy, Camp Tekakwitha, and Benedictine College also had a great part in my decision to enter seminary.

Hobbies & Interests: Tennis, enjoying the outdoors, ping pong, reading a good book.
