"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."

share your prayer intentions with Archbishop McKnight

Note from Archbishop McKnight

My first three months as your new archbishop have been an exceptional moment of grace for me, and I am eager to proclaim with you the Gospel in northeast Kansas in word and deed.

In my brief time in the archdiocese, I have witnessed encouraging signs of renewal and a quiet, steadfast faith that inspires great hope. Even amid challenges, these signs remind us that God is ever at work among His people. At the center of this hope is prayer—a profound gift that unites us with the Lord and with one another, strengthens our spirits, and opens our hearts to healing and grace.

To offer prayers personally for you, I invite you to send me your prayer requests. I will keep them in a special receptacle at the altar here in the chancery, as I present the needs of the archdiocese to the Lord in prayer. I also warmly welcome your expressions of gratitude, for giving thanks draws us deeper into relationship with the Lord. United in prayer, let us lift both our joys and our sorrows to the Lord who hears us with unfailing love and mercy.

Please share your requests for prayer by clicking the link above. I will remember these requests at the altar once a month as I offer the Sacrifice of the Mass.

In addition, if you would like individual Mass intentions to be offered by me, other priests of the archdiocese who need Mass intentions, or priests serving in the missions, please contact my office.  One of our staff would be happy to assist you.
