Queen of the Holy Rosary in Bucyrus - wea, kansas
Archbishop Shawn McKnight has announced that Father Jerry Arano-Ponce has been reinstated to full active ministry at Queen of the Holy Rosary Parish in Wea, Kansas, effective immediately.
In an announcement to Queen of the Holy Rosary parishioners, Archbishop McKnight explained that a thorough investigation by civil authorities and the Church has determined that no civil or Church laws were violated. As a result, his reinstatement was made possible, with specific requirements in place intended to strengthen the parish’s spirit of mutual care and responsibility.
Archbishop McKnight recognizes how difficult this situation has been for all who are involved. He expresses his gratitude to those who have voiced their concerns, Father Jerry and the Queen of the Holy Rosary community, for their patience throughout this process. He prays that the parish remains a safe haven for all and a place where the community is brought closer to one another and to Christ.
