The Archbishop’s Delegate for Consecrated Life assists the archbishop with his responsibilities for the promotion, support, and vigilance of members of religious institutes and those in other forms of consecrated life throughout the archdiocese. The Delegate assists the archbishop with:
Reception of new religious communities in the archdiocese (cf. Canons 609-612); assisting General Counsel and Human Resources with the onboarding duties.
Discernment and formation requirements for applicants for non-religious forms of consecrated life (i.e., consecrated virgins) (cf. Canon 604);
Pastoral encounters between the archbishop and members of religious institutes (i.e., the annual prayer and dinner for religious with the archbishop; any visit to a religious house or community) (cf. Canon 683);
Promotion of the observance of the World Day of Prayer for Consecrated Life in the parishes and schools of the archdiocese.
The Delegate position is part-time, averaging approximately 20 hours per month, working remotely, with meetings held at the chancery and religious houses.
