North East Kansas Rural Youth Council
NEKRYC gathers high school youth leaders from rural parishes of the Archdiocese of Kansas City for formation, leadership training, event planning, and community building – that they themselves might become disciples for and lead others closer to Christ and our Catholic faith. The NEKRYC members of 2023-24 were high school students representing 14 unique parishes across ArchKCK. Since its first year in 2014, NEKRYC has continued to develop its purpose and schedule to deepen their own faith and inspire the faith of others. NEKRYC helps in planning and carrying out RYMO events such as the Summer / Fall tour and the Rural Catholic Youth Conference and also assists with activities sponsored by the youth office and Prairie Star Ranch such as the Junior High Rally and Family Days. NEKRYC members gather in person and via video conferences to plan, grow in discipleship, and pray for one another and all the youth of ArchKCK.
We thank the 2023-24 council for their beautiful service this year. These members are:
Alexis, Renn, Amelia, Evie, Hattie, Carly, Jezzy, Will, Emily, Payton, Brooklyn, Anna, Charlie, Leanne, Kaden, Esme, Isabelle, Katie, Baylie, Calre, Isaac, Ryan, and Sydney.
