Chancellor

The chancellor’s primary responsibility is to ensure that archdiocesan documents, especially those of the Archbishop, are gathered, arranged, and preserved in the archdiocesan archives (canon 482).

As the principal notary for the archdiocese, the chancellor establishes the authenticity and validity of certain judicial and administrative acts.

The chancellor serves the faithful in Northeast Kansas in a particular way by maintaining sacramental records for the archdiocese and by administering requests for dispensations, always with utmost fidelity, discretion, and concern for the salvation of souls.
