Many area employers (or their charitable foundations) match gifts made by their employees to charitable organizations. These companies match payments (not pledges). If your employer has such a program, follow the steps below to request a matching gift. The Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas is a 501(c)3 organization.
If your employer matches gifts to religious organizations:
- Inquire in the personnel department regarding the availability of matching funds for your donation.
- Obtain a matching gift form from your company. There is no reason to attach a matching gift form from your employer to your pledge card unless you are including a check for an initial payment. Whenever you make a payment on your pledge, a matching gift form from your employer should accompany the payment.
- Make the check payable to the Archbishop’s Call to Share. Send the check and matching gift form to the Archbishop’s Call to Share, PO Box 2568, Shawnee Mission, KS 66201-2568 or place in the collection at Mass.
- The Archdiocese will complete the form and submit it to your employer requesting the matching gift.
