ArchKCK Youth exists to help our young people and their adult leaders grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and the Universal Church.

The 8 Components of Youth Ministry

Advocacy

Supporting programs that empower young people and their families by giving them a voice and calling them to responsibility and accountability around issues that affect them and those who cannot speak.

Evangelization

Calls young people to grow in a personal relationship with Jesus, to make His message their own, and to share the faith with other young people, their families and the community.

Community Life

Creating an atmosphere in our parish that is welcoming, comfortable, safe and predictable where teens know that their presence is welcomed, their energy is appreciated and their contributions are valued.

Prayer & Worship

Celebrates and deepens youth relationship with Jesus; awakening their awareness of the Holy Spirit; incorporating them more fully into the sacramental life – Mass, Sacraments, personal prayer, family rituals.

Catechesis

Fosters growth in Catholic faith in three dimensions – trusting (heart), knowing and believing (mind), and doing (will). For youth to live more faithfully as disciples of Jesus in their daily lives.

Justice & Service

The call to work for justice; to serve those in need; to pursue peace; and to defend the life, dignity and rights of all our sisters and brothers born and unborn.

Pastoral Care

The call to be a compassionate presence in imitation of Jesus’ care of people; especially those who are hurting and in need. Provide positive programs that care for and guide young people and their families in a safe environment.

Leadership Development

Calls forth, affirms, empowers the diverse gifts, talents and abilities of adults and young people with encouragement and training.
