Parishioners from the Archdiocese of Kansas City volunteer each week to visit those detained in jails and detention centers to read scripture and administer the Holy Eucharist. We also spend time just listening and sharing our faith journeys.
We have vetted over 50 inmates who are Benedictine Oblates and have responded with notes of joy from receiving Christmas and Easter cards. You can use a pen name to write at least once a month to a fellow Catholic who longs for spiritual fellowship.
