Foster care is an opportunity for us all

Foster care is an opportunity for us all to provide prayer and support to vulnerable children and the caregivers who selflessly serve them.  If you are not being called to foster, consider the following ways to help.

1. Support Aged Out Teens

“Ransom the Captive”

The transitioning to young adulthood can be challenging even with a strong family or support system. Imagine trying to do this successfully and safely after having been under the care of the state and without the help of a loving and responsible family.

The outcomes can be sobering. You can help by mentoring young adults who are transitioning out of foster care and into adulthood.

2. Become a Court Appointed Special Advocate

The Kansas CASA Association is a network of 23 community-based programs that recruit, train and support citizen-volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in courtrooms.

 4. Provide Material Support

“Clothe the Naked”

Help provide practical physical needs of biological families working to reunite with their children, and foster families who are working to meet the new needs of children they are welcoming into their homes.
