A Day in the Life

The mission of Camp Tekakwitha is to bring youth and families to Christ. We do this through a variety of ways including: adventure catechesis, radical hospitality, and time spent together in the sacraments and in creation.

  • Jesus Christ is at the center of everything we do
  • We strive to exude a culture of prayer and fellowship, joy and fun
  • We are a community of servant leaders who live in fellowship together, forming deep bonds and encouraging each other to strive for ever deeper holiness
  • Prayer is the cornerstone of our relationship with Jesus Christ, that which strengthens us and gives us the grace we need to pour ourselves out on mission each day.
  • Dedicated personal prayer time every morning
  • All-Camp Mass on the opening and closing day of each camp session, with optional daily Mass in-between
  • Weekly Camp-wide Deep Prayer Night (DPN) with Eucharistic Adoration and prayer teams
  • Night Prayer with cabin staff before going to bed
