Three professional references are required for employment: current pastors, superintendents, principals or supervisors who have firsthand knowledge of your spirituality/faithlife, personality, scholarship, professional ability, and parish involvement. While a current pastor reference is required, we recognize that in some circumstances, the pastor may not be able to provide such a reference in a timely fashion. Assistant/Vice Principals in Catholic Schools are expected to understand the concept and accept the responsibility of leading the school in both the transmission of the teachings of the Catholic Church and faith formation of the members of the school community. Because all staff in Catholic Schools are called to bear witness to Jesus in both their life and teaching, the Catholic Schools in Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas hire practicing members of the Roman Catholic Church, who are registered members and actively participate in the faith-life of their parishes through their gifts of time, talent and treasure. School leaders, i.e. Presidents of Secondary Schools and Principals and Assistant/Vice Principals of both secondary and elementary schools, must be practicing Catholics.
