Dear Camp Parents, (This letter went out to all camp parents on 5/29/21)

We wanted to let you know what to expect this year concerning camper drop off, camp time, and pick up and the end of camp.

Upon arrival to drop off your camper, you will be directed to park your vehicle and led to the hanger for the check in process.  Merchandise, including Camp Tekakwitha shirts and gear, will be for sale in the hanger only and not in the lodge.

After you receive your cabin assignment, you will proceed to a designated area for luggage drop off and to meet your camper’s counselor.  Parents will not drop off luggage in the dorms this year, because of congestion reasons.  Campers will move into their cabins at the completion of the check in process.

We are thrilled to be able to have overnight camps again, and to also be able to offer day camps.  We will spend the bulk of our time outside having amazing adventures.  We will be able to use the dining hall again this year, and our kitchen staff are busy planning wonderful kid friendly meals with several options available.

Some campers are choosing to wear masks regularly while at camp for a variety of reasons, often to protect a vulnerable family member.  Please reinforce with your camper, as we will, that wearing a mask at camp this year will be very rarely required; however, it is definitely a respected option for any that feel more comfortable that way.  Indoor dining and sleeping areas have all been equipped with industrial ionizers, similar to those used in hospitals, and our robust HVAC systems will be operating.  See our website for more covid related information at

Pick up will be similar to last year, with your camper’s luggage being set in your car upon arrival back at camp, and you being directed to the parking lot to pick up your camper.  We will not have a closing program this year.  Merchandise will again be available for sale in the hanger at pick up.

For camper information, including forms, arrival and departure times, packing list, etc., please go to our website at and click on the Parents tab or menu item.

We are grateful for your understanding with these modifications.  We thank our Lord Jesus Christ for the opportunity to host your child this summer and we thank you for your trust.

In Christ,
Deacon Dana Allen Nearmyer
