New president named at St. James Academy

Sister Christa Marie Halligan, a Sister of St. Francis of the Martyr St. George, has been named president at St. James Academy in Lenexa.  Sister Halligan has been a nun approximately 15 years.  For the past seven years she has been executive director of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine at La Crosse, Wisconsin.

Sister began her professional life as a teacher and then entered the corporate world.  She served as vice president for human resources for a company before following a calling to the religious life.  Sister Halligan will assume her duties in June.
